A Life Changing Meeting

Samantha smiled at the pet name. "Not much, just missing my angel of music like crazy," Samantha said.

Jeff chuckled and said "Well i missed you alot too."

Samantha smiled and stood on her tiptoes to wrap her arms around his neck. She was only 4 foot 11 to his six foot 1 height. "I hate being so much shorter than you," she pouted.

Jeff laughed "Sorry i can't help it little songbird, its the way i was made." he said.

"I'm just too damn short," Samantha said, still pouting. "You're perfect."

Jeff kissed the top of her head "Your not to short."

"If you say so," Samantha smiled. "C'mon, let's get inside."

Jeff nodded and followed her inside.

Samantha sighed when she saw her mother roll her eyes at the two when they walked in.

Jeff saw Samantha's mom "Hello ma'am." he said politely.

Melissa shook her head and walked away. "I'm sorry," Samantha said softly.

Jeff shook his head "No it fine songbird." he said.

"They shouldn't do that to you," Samantha said. "So what if you're older than me?"

Jeff kissed her forehead "Some people don't see it the way you do."

She nodded slowly and put her walker back against the wall, wobbling over to the stairs.

Jeff sighed and followed her.

Samantha climbed the stairs slowly. Little things like this had the potential to wear her out. "I'm glad you're here," she said, already running out of breath.

Jeff gave her a small smile "I really wanted to see you." he said.

"I really wanted to see you too," Samantha smiled, falling down onto her bed.

Jeff smiled as he sat on a chair next to her bed.

Samantha looked at the empty spot next to her on the bed. "C'mere," Samantha asked softly.

Jeff moved and sat next to her.

Samantha smiled and rested her head against him.

Jeff smiled and wrapped his arm around her "So how have you been doing songbird?"

"Good I guess," Samantha shrugged. "School's hard, like really hard now."
